Festival season is here! Back by popular demand, the Giocoso ladies will be appearing with their fabulous back line (like the cousins that appear for the party) and John Hemming MP at this year’s Birmingham Jazz Festival.
You can look forward to new luscious vocal numbers from Kate O’Malley including (‘Cry Me a River’ and ‘Almost Like Being in Love’). We’ll be welcoming back Alison Bryant on alto and tenor – she tried to escape to London but we haven’t really accepted that as an excuse. Also making her debut with us in this line up is the amazing Laura Phillips on tenor, with the most gorgeous sound and improvisations. If you’ve been lucky enough to catch her at one of our recent quartet gigs, you’ll know you’re in for a treat.
We’ll be whisking you through 7 decades of jazz, so sit back, drink in hand and while away the afternoon in the decadent surroundings of Hotel du Vin. Fingers crossed for sun so the courtyard roof will be open!
We’re playing from 2:00-4:00. For details, see our Calendar http://bit.ly/12K7Tgu
