Well, dear reader, we survived our epic 3 gig Sunday!
The sponsored walk for the Alzheimer’s Society was great fun in a cold and wet kind of way. Due to the torrential rain, we had to shield the saxes in bin bags which had its own challenges. However, we persevered and made it all the way round, raising £1200 for the Alzheimer’s Society to boot. Not a bad day’s work!
We then went on to Solihull “Fun in the Park”. It was a great shame that the rain kept the crowds away as it looked like it had all the potential to be a fantastic day out.
Last but definitely not least we made a return trip to St Mary’s in Temple Balsall. We love playing in this church as the acoustic is gorgeous and the audiences are so wonderful. Even though exhaustion had truly set in we thoroughly enjoyed ourselves playing a short set of our favourite jazz and swing numbers.
